We will restart the 5 tips or growing at relationship with God.
3 John 1:4 I (John), have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.
As a parent it gives me no greater joy than to see my children doing well. I don't know any parent who doesn't revel in their child's accomplishments. So God, being the good, good father; how much more is He pleased with us when we walk in Him.
Walking with God daily is a decision of the will and spirit. I have found that starting my day off with Jesus begins my day off in the right mind set. In the beginning I had to carve out that extra hour to be quiet, worship, study and pray. For me because everyone has to be out the door by 6:30ish am, that means mornings need to start at 5am. Once awake and coffee in hand I am ready to be with Jesus, actually excited. This took time and discipline to become a habit, but oh the blessings. It's "our" time.
Do you want to grow your relationship, yes "relationship," with the greatest Father God? Yes? Awesome!!
This week we are going to look at five simple tips to grow an everlasting, true, loving,
life giving relationship with the God of the universe.
Start your time off strong!
Set the time aside. Set a timer for 15 to 30 minutes, you can expand it as you become more consistent "being" with God. Now mornings aren't set in stone. I have a night owl husband who doesn't sleep. His quiet time is after 11pm. The house is quiet, chaos (Kevin) is asleep and our home is calm. God doesn't sleep or grow weary so anytime is "the time". Maybe your Jesus time will be after the kids go to school or while they nap, between classes, middle of the night or the wee hours of the morning. Ask God when He wants to meet with you. Trust me He is so excited to be with you that He will clear His schedule!
Lol, that part is a joke because His schedule is always free to hear, listen and be with us!! Remember He is watching and when He sees us He runs! He kills the fattest calf, puts His best robe on our shoulders and throws us a party. That's our father! The true good God.
Today read the prodigal son.
( Luke 15: 11-32).
