Daily Devotional: Reinvigorate a weary soul in a world that offers only sinking sand on Gods solid rock today.

How do we learn to trust God? First we have to get to know him. We will look at the names God calls himself with scripture to back it up.
Judaism has seven names for God. Christianity has many more but 12 stand out. We we look these over the 12 days. Take time to look them up yourself as well;
Elohim, Adonai, El Shaddai, Jehovah, the rest begin with Jehovah adding Jireh, Rophe, Nissi, Makedesh, Tsidkenu, Shalom, Rohi and Or.
Elohim; the creator God. This form is unique to the Hebriac thinking. It occurs only in Hebrew and no other ancient semitic language. This term is found 2570 times in the Torah.
In Genesis 1:1-2 Elohim introduces himself as the creator. In verse 3 Elohim speaks, Boom! "Let there be light and there was light". I have never spoken anything in to creation from nothing using only words. Has anyone? This in itself is enough to fall at Gods feet and worship Him. I do know when I take the time to create, bare, or cultivate something, I do take time to invest in "it's" care. How much more should God? He created all! This completely discredits the agnostic view that there maybe something out there (because I have no other way to explain creation) but it certainly isn't interested in me. God took extreme care to create. Everything is perfect. The alignment of the planets, gravity, tides, our moon, sun stars. If any of these were off a millimeter we wouldn't be here.
Take time to think about creation. I recently rented,
"The case for a creator" by Lee Strobel, 2017. After watching how the world's mechanics work, you can't use science to explain away a Creator God. It only cements His holy name, Elohim.
