Daily Devotional: Day 28
Day of Atonement
Leviticus 16:30 because on this day atonement will be made for you, to cleanse you. Then before the Lord, you will be clean from all your sins.
The Lord set aside the tenth day of the seventh month as the holiest in Judaism. This day is a day of sabbath rest and fasting; spent in the synagogue. Intensive prayers and atonement are sought by the petitioner. This day of sincere repentance ends with the belief that the Lord God seals a persons fate and the blow of shofar. This weekend I spent most of Saturday watching The walk of prayer in DC and The Return. I too, though not Jewish spent most of it fasting and praying for America. Truly seeking God's forgiveness for my sins and the sins of our nation. I know so many, thousands, were in the same posture of prayer, fasting and repentance. I was so moved by Jonathan Cahn and Vice President Pence prayers for our United States. If you missed those prayers you can watch them on YouTube. God isn't done with America. His remnant is still here. As long as His people seek Him, He will not leave or forsake us. Our God will never let us go. I believe we are close to God calling His church home but I also believe we have one more final act, REVIVAL!
The great harvest is going to play out in front of our eyes. Stay and Stand firm in the faith. Put on the full armor of God daily, do not stay silent. Proclaim Jesus is the only way and Pray Church Pray!!
