Daily Devotional: Day 26/27
Weekend of Repentance
Blessing and Revival
Hosea 2:23 I will plant her for myself in the land; I will show my love to the one I called, Not my loved one. I will say to those called, Not my people, You are my people; and they will say, You are my God.
God's compassion to us is shown with no reservation. Through no merit of our own God reconciled us to Him. He asks nothing, yet gave His love freely. There is no way for us to reach His perfect moral and spiritual standards so He came to us. He gave His life in exchange for ours. He died the death we should have and paid the price for our immortality. He calls us to Himself. Salvation is given to any who will ask.
The book of Romans gives the steps to salvation:
1. All have sinned; 3:23
2. The penalty of our sin is death; 6:23
3. Jesus Christ died for sin; 5:8
4. To be forgiven for our sin, we must believe and confess that Jesus is Lord. Salvation comes through Jesus Christ. 10:8-10
Return today to One who sets us free. Jesus Christ is our living hope. Death has no claim on us in the perfect repentantive God, Jesus Christ. Return to the creator and lover of our soul. Amen
