Daily Devotional: Day 23

North Dakota and Oklahoma

2 Corinthians 6:3-4 We put no stumbling block in anyone's path, so that our ministry will not be discredited. Rather, as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way in great endurance; in troubles, hardships and distress.

She came to the thrift store dirty with her backpack and sleeping bag. I knew her name because Dale had spoken with her outside the store a couple days before as she stood crying. She needed help right away. No one gave her a second look. They walked past as she cried. Dale offered help. She came in looking for a place to clean up and wash her clothes. Selah Mountain Ranch and Thrift Store was able to provide a meal, clean clothes, toiletries, a place to shower and three loads of wash at the local laundry mat. This is all because of YOUR support. We and other ministry's survive because of the monetary support we receive monthly. In these hard times the need is great and but the workers are few. Selah Mountain Ranch needs your help. Our monthly support has dropped greatly. We can't do it without your continued support. Our next project is purses and backpacks with toiletries and as we head into the winter months including blankets or coats. These people are sleeping outside. They carry everything they own in their backpacks. Fremont County is not very friendly to the homeless. They offer very little in way of supports. We at Selah Mountain Ranch feel the call be be the literal hands and feet of the church by including all people and families in need of help, no questions asked. We have been blessed with so many clothes, coats and blankets we have been able to offer them daily from Free to $2.00 a piece.

NOW we need your help to expand the support by pledging $25.00 or more a month to help these homeless adults or families on the edge. This program will provide a shower, backpack, toiletries, a coat and or blanket and voucher for free clothes and possible two loads of laundry or gift card to dollar general.
