Daily Devotional: Reinvigorate your weary soul in a world that offers only sinking sand on Gods solid rock today.

Psalm 5:3 In the morning, O Lord; you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation.
In our instant gratification world, "wait" has become a four letter word. No one wants to wait. I'm 56 and no different than a three year old when it comes to waiting. I have had to learn that I find Christ and draw closer in the waiting. No man can push my petitions to come sooner. I have learned that God is unmoved by my impatience, thank goodness. God has "perfect" timing. He is never late. We often joke that we wish Him to be early...but in all my life He has never let me down. In the waiting I have been able to slow down,
re-evaluate, change direction, pray, think and see what God wants me to do. Sometimes He wants me to just pray and stand still. Other times because I slowed down I was able to see that He wants me to go in another direction.
I propose we change "wait" from a bad word to thinking of it as an acronym standing for:
WATCH God work it out for you in His perfect timin.
ASK and seek God, keep knocking on His door.
INVITE God to work in your life and heart.
TRUST God that He will fulfill His plan for you.
Remember He is for you!!
He loves you and wants the very best for you.
