Florence Co will soak in the Fourth of July holiday with wet parade, number of events
July 4-6 starting at 7am for pancakes
The City of Florence knows how to celebrate this weekend right with music, events, fireworks and, of course, the highlight — the annual Wet and Dry parade.
The town plans to kick off its celebration with a free swim day, at the Florence Swimming Pool from 12pm to 5 p.m. on the 4th as well as a craft fair, bounce house, a beer garden and vendors in Pioneer Park.
Music will be featured throughout the festival, which wraps up Saturday evening with Family Movie Night, featuring the movie “Coco,” at Pioneer Park.
The Wet and Dry parade begins at 10 a.m. on the 4th at John C. Fremont Library, 130 Church Ave. The dry section of the parade runs from the library to Pikes Peak Avenue and the wet portion will run from Pikes Peak to Petroleum avenues. The public can bring water guns, but no water balloons.
